Quick Swapper

Need Statement:

The Quick Swapper is a design for our Challenger Taylor Morris, a quadruple amputee that participates in triathlons. Multiple prostheses are required for a triathlon, so he needs a way to efficiently change out these prostheses using his prosthetic hands.

End Goal:

Create a "single-handed" actuation mechanism that maintains alignment when engaged. A clamp system is controlled by two push-buttons on either side of the female component. The male component is comprised of a square base and rounded insert to prevent rotational and lateral movement. A standard four bolt pattern allows easy connection to mounts on the prosthesis.
